My question would be if the headset will also work on the Ps5 because I need a headset and don't want to get a headset that doesn't work?

It requires an optical to HDMI adapter which is supplied by Astro. Cost $40, for registered products $25
I only use the headset on the PC because I don't own a Ps5 so I can't tell you if it would work.
