Question about Devolo dLAN 1200+ WiFi ac extension
My configuration: Thomson cable modem --> Zyxel router with WLAN (office, upper floor) --> dLan 1200+ network with 3 stations on other floors. The coverage of the WLAN from the router (placed in the office) is insufficient. Can I add dLan1200+ WiFi extensions to the existing dLan1200+ network to improve WiFi reception on other floors? If so, does this work with Move Technology in the same way as a mesh (same network name/password for different stations)? Maybe I don't need the router anymore?
As far as I know, they are compatible with each other as long as they have the same speed. It's best to check again on the manufacturer's website.
I have taken down my WLAN routers and replaced them with the Devolo. They can be operated with the same or their own WLAN ID. The Move usually works, but sometimes a device gets stuck at an AccessPoint and you have to briefly switch off and on the WLAN on the device to fix it.
