Lenovo YOGA, the fan is unacceptably loud and makes it impossible to work in a quiet environment. Does this also apply to this model? YOGA 720-13IKBR 13.30", Full HD, Intel Core i5-8250U

I personally cannot confirm this. For me, it is absolutely incomprehensible. The device is top!

Unfortunately, I have received a copy with this fan problem. Please note that the fans spin more when the Yoga is connected to the power supply, as the processor probably clocks higher and thus gets warmer. The fans would start spinning at 40 degrees and become quieter again, depending on how much the processor is being used.

I completely rebooted Windows 10 and did a BIOS update, but the fans only got a little quieter. However, the Notebook Fan Control tool helped me with the "Yoga 2 13" profile, where the fans only really start to turn up at around 65 degrees, which was very rarely the case. Since then, my Yoga runs practically inaudibly.

I can't say whether this is more common or not, as Mk doesn't have this problem. I hope that Lenovo will improve this with a BIOS update. At this price point, consumers should not be expected to install third-party software to get quiet fans during normal use (multi-tab browsing, Word, Adobe Reader, watching videos).
