It is not clear to me how the antenna is mounted and connected to the unit. How is the cable routed?
The antenna is plugged directly into the receiver (a small box), both together stick (as long as you keep to the maximum distances from the car body) quite legally to the windscreen. The control unit is wireless and battery-operated.
