Is this vacuum suitable for oiled parquet floors? Or would the unit mop up too wet?

Helpful answer

Yes, that should work, the S5 Max, S6 MaxV and also S7 devices (but also the 250 franc Xiaomi Dreame D9) have electronic water pumps. You can define the amount of water that is delivered to the mop pad for each room. You should not think of it as a lot of water coming out. If the amount of water is set to minimum, it should not cause any problems.

By the way, at 499 francs, the S6 MaxV is equipped with much better navigation than an S7 or S5 Max. The S6 MaxV can't do automatic emptying with an optional add-on suction station, but if that's not an issue, I'd go for the S6 MaxV.

Roborock S6 MaxV

It cleans just as well as an S7 :). But it only costs around 500 francs and navigates much more accurately around obstacles with its 3D object recognition.
