Is this really a stereo system with stereo sound when playing CD's as well as FM (only from Germany) What does the unit need as a connection for Internet reception?

Yes, it is a full-fledged stereo system with two channels also for CD and radio (FM and DAB+). I feel that the unit is good value for money. It connects to the internet via Wi-Fi.
