Is this product compatible with the Samsung 400B5B? Would like to replace the existing 4GB with 1x 8GB. Thanks for the answer

so you have to install 2 x 4 and cannot remove the 4 and replace it with an 8...

No, the Samsung 400B5B only supports a maximum of 8GB. So you can install a maximum of 2x4GB.
