Is this card good for gaming? If not, could someone suggest a good alternative, preferably not too expensive?
Yes, it's fine as far as it goes. I myself have a somewhat "worse" WLAN card (ASUS AC56) and don't really have any more network lags. Therefore, this will certainly fit for you.
