Is this also the credit for the Microsoft store if I want to buy Minecraft for the PC, for example?

Kind of YES. The credit is initially only primarily for the Microsoft Xbox account. However, if you buy the Gamepass (in which Minecraft is free), you can possibly play Minecraft with it. However, I have not yet tested this personally. You can find more information here:
