Is there any experience regarding the digitisation of audio cassettes in terms of quality? What do I need in addition to this device to connect it to the Windows laptop and digitise tapes? I am not that tech-savvy - most helpful for me would be links to products and programmes :-)

Download the free AUDACITY software for Windows that captures the audio signal from the USB port and records it in mp3 or wav.

Wow, a cassette deck that still exists, cool. According to the manufacturer, all you have to do is connect the USB port to your PC or Mac. The manufacturer describes it like this:

USB digital output for digital recordings on PC/Mac.
The built-in A/D converter and a USB digital output on the back of the unit allow users to digitally archive their cassette libraries at 48kHz/16-bit in CD quality. The sampling frequency and bit depth are selectable from 8k to 48kHz and 8 or 16 bits, depending on the recording quality of the original tape. Once a digital archive is created, the user can listen to it anytime and anywhere with a computer, DAP, smartphone, network player or even in the car.

So should be super easy to digitise the tapes. There is no need to install a driver, the cassette deck is simply recognised as an audio device. You can then select the deck under Sound, Recording.
