Is the watch only compatible with Samsung phones or also with a Nexus 6P?

I use it with a Motorola X Force.

Samsung lists many compatible devices at http://www.samsung.com/global.... Mine is not listed, but it works. Presumably the sentence "Gear S3 pairs with smartphones running on Android 4.4 and higher with over 1.5GB RAM." is the head office.
