Is the unit plugged into the mains? I am thinking of taking it with me to Canada, but I would have to be careful about the power connection....

The unit is plugged into the wall socket. Since the voltage in Canada (as in the USA) is 110V, this makes the appliance incompatible for use in Canada. (Alternative: use My.Yo powerless yoghurt maker) My Yo powerless yoghurt maker
