Is the stand made of metal? Can a 360° folded laptop with a thickness of 20 mm also be clamped? Is it only clamped via springs? Is there also a locking mechanism for the clamp?
yes, a very light metal / no, max 15-16mm thick / clamping only with springs, no locking system, works well but we'll see if it lasts over time...
Yes, the stand is made of metal.
The clamp has an edge at 15 mm, which prevents it from falling out. 20 mm could probably be held, but the device can fall out. The weight is probably more of a problem.

An iPad with the protection folded up will fit... a computer will fit but not firmly! There are three-point locking screws, but depending on the height at which it's deployed, I wouldn't advise putting anything too heavy on top 😅
