Ciao Canaries85. The memory form factor and interface are specified as M.2 Key M for both the Icy Box and the Samsung 980 SSD. The Icy Box accepts SSDs up to 80 mm in length. I would say: fits! I have been using the Icy Box for 2 years with a Kingston A 2000 SSD. The transfer rate is actually close to 1GBit via the cables supplied.
