Question about Denver Frameo PFF-1010
Is the picture frame suitable for grandparents? I.e. can I set it so that grandma doesn't have to press anything and no pop-ups etc. appear, and I can send new pictures myself via the app, which are then automatically included in the slide show without a message/confirmation?

Yes, that is possible.
Depending on the format of the new pictures, you can still choose on the device whether the whole picture should be displayed (with black bars) or the whole screen should be filled (then the picture is cropped in one direction). But this is not a must.
From my point of view, I can only answer with "well". In principle, yes, but you can't delete photos from the app or change anything like APP. You currently have to do that on the display. I have already written to the support. Maybe it will help if several people report the same request. After all, they are developing the app further.
