Is the mainboard compatible with an AMD Ryzen 9 3900X?

I run the board in my PC2 with a 1600, which I took over from PC1. With the PC1, which now runs with a 3900, I had to do a BIOS update. It didn't start up without the update. I think it's the same with this board.

Actually, yes. However, I wonder why one would want to operate such an expensive processor with a cheap mainboard.
