Is the graphics card on the Microsoft Surface Pro 4, 512GB SSD (12.30", Intel Core i7-6650U, 16GB, Win 10 Pro) good enough for the Samsung LS34E790CNS monitor (34", 300cd/m², 3440 x 1440 pixels)?
Hello
I use exactly this combination. The monitor is connected to the Surface pro 4 via Surface Dock. Everything works perfectly. The only problem with the graphics card is when playing films with Microsoft's own "Media Player" or the "Movies & TV" app. The whole system freezes and can only be brought back to life with a hard reset. Playing the same media with the VLC player works perfectly.
Hello
Unfortunately, I can't answer that. I "only" work with the Surface. However, my son has been working with the Pro 3 for a long time, connected to a mediocre 24" Samsung monitor, without any problems. Due to the much-praised graphics of the Pro 4 (which are sensational, at least on the Surface itself), I assume that this should work.
