Question about Corsair RM1000x
Is it true that you should have twice as much wattage in a power supply as you actually need for the PC. that means this power supply would be good for a Gtx 1070 ti

Yes... Not twice as much, but a little reserve would not be bad, as the power supplies lose power over time. In your case, I would go for an 850W power supply. What should be considered with power supplies is the efficiency level - I prefer gold or platinum.
