Is it recommended to install an i9 12900k, it's a bit cheaper and prettier than the z690 variant?

I have a 12900 non k on it and it runs perfectly. and fuck OC, nobody needs that.

I wouldn't recommend it, because you can only overclock with the Z690 chipset. This is obvious if you buy the 12900K (unlocked, overclockable). So I would rather recommend a Z690.

The board is ideally suited for the 12900K as well as the 12900KS.

Nobody, absolutely nobody, wants to permanently overclock a 12900K. The processor is then even worse to cool than it already is and the consumption increases disproportionately. However, this results in a barely measurable increase in performance.

The only thing that is interesting with these CPUs and brings relatively higher performance is RAM-OC, which is released on this board chipset.
