Is it possible to turn off the fans with a button? (Would like to connect it to the docking station)

No, there is no button to switch off. On the 3rd picture it may look like this, but this is the locking device to position or release the fans on the grid. There is a rotary control, but even at the minimum setting the fans rotate at 950 rpm according to the product data sheet.
