Is it possible to strap a non-overclockable (one without a "K") CPU onto this board without any complications?

You can use any CPU that is listed as compatible in the manual. The non-K CPUs are just not easily overclockable...

Yes, of course. Socketed CPUs can always be installed as long as the socket is correct. At most, this is a bit of a shame, as the overclock functions cannot then be used, however, as non-K versions cannot be overclocked in principle.
