Yes, but it takes a little more effort.
You take a picture in exactly the same way as slides. But then you have a negative and you can convert it back into a positive with simple software.
Any image processing programme can make a negative from an image. A negative from a negative is a positive.
In most cases, colour correction is then required, which is easily done with automatic correction.

You also need a film holder for the nagative strips. This is also available from Digitec. Just search for film strip holder.
I don't think it's particularly well made, but it can be used with a bit of dexterity.
