Ugreen Universal mount
Is it possible to fix the bracket horizontally and it still works? I would like to attach it to the end of the bed, i.e. clamp opening towards the bottom. Thank you.
As @donpedro42 already said, I wouldn't mount it that way either. Especially as the joint can then no longer be used properly, which is what I originally wanted to do. Now it's on the frame next to the bed, so it doesn't get in the way.
So you guys are kind of a bit off... :D
The bed has to be about 10-15 cm away from the wall because of the screw...
Yes you can, it has an extra hole so that the hinge construction can be inserted there, it works well. I also use the holder on the side of the bed with the clamp open at the bottom and clamped over the bed frame. Only the clamp on the bed is relatively bulky and the fixing screw is extremely long, but it holds well. Everything is pretty stable for the price and I use it to hold the large 12.9" iPad.
Yes, that's not a problem because it's a screw clamp that you can simply tighten. I use it in a similar way
Hello hisami
The clamp is a separate part. The bent arm has a pin about the thickness of a little finger at the bottom, which is then inserted loosely into the clamp. This means that if the clamp is mounted upside down, i.e. with the opening facing downwards, the arm cannot be inserted at all or falls out underneath.
However, we are abroad and I no longer have the arm in front of me. That's why I no longer know whether the opening in the clamp is continuous and could therefore be inserted from both sides.
I wouldn't recommend fitting it at the end of the bed and then extending the whole length. The arm can be rotated and tilted and reacts to every movement by shaking for several seconds. This means that if the whole length is extended, the trembling will be even stronger than when the arm is bent. Will it still be able to carry the tray?
Attaching it to the bedside table or a chair next to the bed would be a better solution. Or at the top of the bed.
