I can't tell you much about the docking station, except that it fits. Whether it makes sense depends on your area of application. Even without a docking station, you should be able to connect up to 4 (even 5 with daisy chain) monitors with 3840x2160 resolution. At the HDMI port, however, only with 30 Hz, since version 1.4.
