Yes, you can connect the FRITZBox 7690 to a Sunrise Connect Box 3 and also use FritzFon. Here are the steps to set this up:
## Connection between FRITZBox 7690 and Sunrise Connect Box 3
- Make sure that the Connect Box 3 is operated as a modem. To do this, you must switch the Connect Box 3 to bridge mode. Go to the user interface of the Connect Box 3 (via `192.168.1.1` in the browser), enter the password and activate modem mode.
- Connect the FRITZBox 7690 to the 2.5 Gbit LAN port of the Connect Box 3 using a LAN cable. This ensures the best possible connection speed.
## Setting up the FRITZBox 7690
- Call up the user interface of the FRITZBox 7690 and start the Internet Access Wizard. Select the entry "Other suppliers" or "Manual setting", as the FRITZBox 7690 does not directly rely on the Sunrise settings when the Connect Box 3 is operated in bridge mode.
- Configure the Internet connection according to the wizard's instructions.
## Setting up FritzFon
- Once the Internet connection has been set up, go to the user interface of the FRITZBox 7690 and navigate to "Telephony".
- Configure your telephony devices here by clicking on "Telephony devices" and specifying the corresponding phone numbers and settings. You can register up to six DECT telephones to the integrated DECT base station.
