Philips Shaver S9000
Philips Shaver S9000
Is it possible to charge the device with just a charging cable, especially when travelling, or do you always have to take the Qi charging pad with you?
Yes, it works - just tested with a standard 5W Qi pad, but it's a bit tricky to balance the razor. But it's certainly a solution for on the go if you don't want to lug around the Philips pad, which feels like it weighs a ton.
Hello TNSwiss
It is only possible to charge the Philips Prestige with a charging pad. For safety reasons (as it can be used in the shower => otherwise there would be a risk of electric shock if someone were to shower and shave at the same time during the charging process).
The Prestige is great for use at home, but rather awkward when travelling with the charging pad (weight as a whole and size of the protective travel case).
The shaver alone would be nice and light. For a short holiday (when the battery is 100% full), you wouldn't need to take the charging pad at all.
It may also be possible to use another charging pad (which you may have with you from your smartphone) or a charging table (as already available in some hotels). But I have never tested this.
Does Digitec have the replacement shaving head anywhere? or the shaving head holder too?
I would like to stock up on a few extra as I will probably be using the machine for a few years.
Please for info
