Is it one-sided or double-sided? I can only install one-sided.
Hello, if your question refers to whether the technology is only installed on one side, then I can confirm this.
I don't know the difference between one- or double- sieded. I use it as an external SSD in an Acasis M2 NVMe SSD enclosure 40 Gbit/s USB C Aluminium NVMe enclosure PCIe 2280 M-Key (B+M Key) Solid State Drive External hard drive enclosure compatible with USB 4/3.2/3.1/3.0/Type C devices.
Works great on both Mac mini and MacBook Pro, with fantastic read/write speeds. There is a heat pad attached to the top, so I strongly suspect it may just be the one sieded SSD acting .
Since the chips are only installed on one side and the height is only approx. 2 mm, I assume that this is only a single-sided SSD. My suggestion is to measure the height of the old SSD, if it is less than about 2 mm, then I would not try to install the Crucial P3 Plus. If it is about 2 mm. then I would dare. But be careful, these SSDs do not fit on Apple devices such as the MacBook.
