Is it normal that I have to dry the bottle after every fizzing because water runs down and I have to regularly remove water from the bottom of the container? It drips from the thing that goes into the bottle after each use. A friend said that was the case.

A few drops after depressurisation are normal. However, if water clearly drips from the carbonisation tube after each bubbling and water regularly collects at the bottom, this is more likely to indicate incorrect handling, a worn seal or a defect.
