I'm using a Chromecast and an old Epson projector which doesn't have neither Optical nor HDMI outputs. Would it work if I used the Marmitek Split 312 UHD to send audio to the SONOS ? Also for 5.1 ?

Interesting what you are writing. You don't have a HDMI output but you are using the 312 UHD splitter ? Hmm..... Anyway ... If you have a HDMI output, there are 2 ways to connect with the Beam: HDMI with ARC output of your device (projector, TV, etc.) OR ... thanks to the HDMI / Optical adapter ... by Optical. If one of those conditions are given on your device ... Go ahead with the Beam

You might want to investigate if your system is compatible with ARC HDMI first but I thinkkkk it should work.
