Question about Kobo Libra Colour

I'm looking for an eReader for my studies. For reading outside in the sun and on the sofa/bed in the evening. Many books are available as epub, but we also have various PDFs. Does anyone have experience with this device and PDFs? I'm mainly concerned about size and performance. Should I go for the Libra 2E instead? https://www.galaxus.ch/de/s1/product/kobo-elipsa-2e-inkl-stift-2-1030-32-gb-ereader-24695996 Or is it too heavy again? Any help/opinion would be appreciated. Thank you!

I use the device with both ePubs and PDFs and find that both work very well. The eReader is comfortable to read and use both in the sun and in bed. The colours are of course not as bright as on a tablet, but for different tables or simple diagrams, I think it's good enough.

My daughters who have a kobo libra colour say that pdf files are ok.
I myself have a kobo clara colour and I prefer epub.

The PDFs read very well (I read a novel of >500 pages in this format), but I find that adjusting the zoom is sometimes a bit tedious. As far as reading comfort is concerned, I use it both on the beach in direct sunlight and in bed with a relaxing yellow backlight, and it's perfect (much better than a tablet/smartphone screen in terms of eyestrain).
