If you have the 4GB TS-453A, it comes with 2 banks of 2GB not 1 with 4GB. You cannot mix the 2GB with the 4GB. You have to buy 2x 4GB. Very poor information about this limitation. I bought a 4GB TS-543A NAS and wanted to add 4 GB. Does not work. Why is the NAS not deliverd with 1 bank of 4 GB?

Hi. You are right - there should be a information that you have to buy 2 of them. Why QNAP ship the NAS with 2x2Gb is a question better placed by QNAP itself...
