If I screw this filter onto the lens, can I still attach the lens cap to it? Lens: Sony FE 50mm F1.8, Full Frame E-Mount

Yes, filters almost always have the same front and rear threads. An exception is of course a step-up or step-down filter where the threads are specifically different.
