I really liked the question. So I bought a dLAN pro DINrail and had it installed - that's why it took a while. Then of course I plugged in the dLAN Pro 1200+ POE adapter and the G3 Dome. (As always, I made a DHCP reservation for all devices). It immediately appeared as unmanaged. The camera has been running for a day without any problems.
This was of course an "in-door" test - but it works :-)
I would like to replace my old wireless cameras outside. Since I already have the USG and various APs from Unifi, something like this is obvious.
Unfortunately, I only have power connections outside and the tubes are so full that, according to the electrician, no Lan cable will fit through.
My idea now would be to realise this with Powerline.
Question: Are there any small outdoor powerline devices (protected against moisture, but which would have to withstand the temperatures) which also supply sufficient PoE (Unifi is somewhat special with PoE)?
