I would like to insert 8 of these DDR4-3200 RAM modules (item no. 5889884), i.e. 128GB in total, into the mainboard below, although the mainboard requires DDR4-2400. Is this possible? Does it make sense, e.g. for OC? (Art-Nr 7199918 ; Gigabyte X299 UD4 Pro (LGA 2066, Intel X299, ATX) ; Gigabyte X299 UD4 Pro (LGA 2066, Intel X299, ATX) ) The only DDR4-2400 8x16GB module set (item no. 5834350) is even more expensive than the 3200 one above.
This should basically work with a 6-core or higher processor.
