I would like to expand my WLAN (Apple Time Capsule 2TB), network connection (LAN) to all rooms available. Therefore, I don't want to use a repeater if possible. Can anyone recommend a suitable product so that I can expand the existing WLAN in the best possible way? With best thanks and greetings
There is a huge range of WLAN routers that can be used for this purpose. The important thing is how you configure the two routers and connect them to each other. I also have two routers in use, the first is the actual router with connection to the outside world (WAN, provider). The second one is connected via a LAN cable to a free LAN port (do not use the WAN port!). The default gateway address is the address of the first router. Both routers have the same SSID in the WLAN config, but on different channels. This way, the mobile devices switch automatically if the WLAN signal of one router becomes too weak.
