Question about NVIDIA Shield TV Pro
I would like to buy the NVIDIA Shield TV Pro. However, it has an outdated Android 9.0 (Pie) installed. My question is, is it still worth buying this device and what about updates and security? I would like to run the apps Zattoo, Netflix, KODI and NordVpn on it. Or should I perhaps consider the AB Com Box R Plus. Would look forward to your feedback. Thank you

I can't article much about your alternative device. A little more about the Sheld.
My current SW version is 9.2.1.
I have also installed your desired app Zattoo, Netflix, Kodi and NordVPN. I also use the usual suspects:
YT, Disney+, AmazonePrime, the media libraries of the German and Austrian channels (thanks to VPN) and co.
What stands out most negatively is the synchronisation between sound and picture when streaming and zapping for longer periods of time. If the deviations become too great, a brief switch on/off of the Shield helps and the synchronisation is correct again.
My conclusion of the last three years is actually positive and I currently have no reason to complain.
Well, comparing the Shield to a China firecracker is laughable.
My Shield runs wonderfully and also gets upgrades. There have never been any problems.
No sync problems with the sound under Kodi either. I would buy it again.
The Bluetooth remote control also works on the Harmony Elite.
The shield must be the box that has received the most updates since it was launched...
