I will soon be moving into a farmhouse. Internet from the box is unusable. The only option is a 5G solution. I am looking for the best connection/performance as I play online with PC. I have already checked with Swisscom in the shop. Unfortunately, they could not give me a satisfactory answer. On the Swisscom homepage, I checked the 5G coverage and it is even available with 5G+ (does that matter?) at the new home. However, Swisscom only provides the subscription with a sim card. I was also not recommended a device or told what exactly I need and where I can get it. Was this device my solution? Is there something better? e.g. 5G+ capable. Reading the comments I only half understand, is it advisable to have this installed and commissioned by a company? If so, does anyone know of one?

The Zyxel outdoor router can definitely be an alternative to conventional internet. The hardware is top-notch and the dB gain is remarkable. I don't think there is a better device on the market for this application. Whether the outdoor router makes sense must be checked on site. Schleuniger Montagen AG in Dietikon offers this service free of charge. 0447381000.

I use the NR7101 as a normal Internet access, as DSL does not give me a usable speed.
It is important that the NR7101 is really installed outdoors to have optimal reception.
The setup is easy. Insert the SIM and you are online, I recommend removing the SIM PIN, if something hangs up, a restart is sufficient without the sim pin blocking the establishment of the Internet connection.
