I was about to buy this unit, but have now read in various internet forums that it produces a lot of coil whine. Can you confirm this?

Coil whistling does occur, yes. If this bothers you, simply execute the following command in a CMD window with admin rights. This deactivates the C3 sleep state of the CPU, the battery should last slightly less long, but I have not noticed this.

When I play World of Warcraft, I sometimes get coil whines, but everything else (Office, Internet, etc.) works fine.
