I want to upgrade my PC soon, however I don't know if I should buy this motherboard or the ASUS ROG Strix Z370-E. I would buy an Intel core-i7 8700k for it, possibly overclocking.

Helpful answer

Two good motherboards. The Maximus offers a little more, shows error codes directly on the card, internal buttons, also offers 1 cooler for hard drive m.2, RAM support faster (useless?) And probably better stability in overclocking mode. The Maximus with my 8700k i7 runs at 5 GHz (1core) and 4.7 GHz for the 5 others. Reliable and stable. Rest the aesthetics. We may prefer one or the other. Best hits with your next PC! Sorry for the language, this is Google Translate.

The Hero is absolutely recommendable.
It offers an 8-phase power supply.
My board runs absolutely stable with an I7 8700K at 5.0 GHz. With a polar bear 240 AIO cooling. Temp max. 82 degrees.
I would probably still have a reserve up to 5.2, but that depends on how good your sample is.

Conclusion: I would buy the Hero again immediately.
