Question about ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming
I want to build a computer and wanted to know if this motherboard is compatible with the Intel Core i5 7600K BOX (LGA 1151, 3.80GHz, Unlocked), or do I have to take one that is specifically made for the i5 7th Gen?

It is possible, but there is always the small residual risk that this board has been in storage for a while and perhaps still has an old bios that does not recognise the 7th generation.
Then a 6th gen CPU must be installed for updating, but as far as I know there are also some boards that can be updated without a CPU, but I couldn't tell you which ones they are.
If it doesn't have to be exactly this board, I would buy one with a Z270, then it will fit for sure ;-)

You can install it. As of Bios version 3016, the mainboard is compatible with the Intel Core i5 7600K.
