Question about Pioneer SPH-DA120 AppRadio

I read on Youtube in the comments that there were problems with the transfer of Carplay & Ipod function with original cables from Apple. Is that the case? Do I need special USB cables from Pioneer?

I use an original Apple Lightning cable (2m) from Apple and have no problems at all.
