Question about Apple Multiport

I own an LMP usb-c mini dock that served me well until I tried connecting an Apple SuperDrive. I immediately got prompted with errors notifying me that the device could not draw enough power in order to work. Would this serve me better ? Kindest, Sam.

Yes. The apple Super Drive only works with an original Apple usb to usbc.
