I ordered this product and would like to know if I should buy the hue bridge - I'm not sure, I got an answer that if you want to go through wifi - remote or programmed you have to... thanks for your confirmation.

Yes, if you want to connect the lamp to the wifi and control it remotely with the smartphone or program it, you need the hue bridge!
