Question about ASUS Z170-K

I have this board with i7-6700K 4 GHz, 2x8GB Ram, DDR4, 250 GB SSD, 2 TB HD. Case new from Corsair Crystal 570x with 6 fans. 1x GTX 1080 Ti OC. 1200 W PSU. I am now looking for a motherboard that supports SLI. My 2 favourites so far: 1) ASUS Maximus VIII Hero (LGA 1151, Intel Z170, ATX) . Should be ok with the upper components. Right? 2) ASUS ROG MAXIMUS IX HERO (LGA 1151, Intel Z270, ATX) . Here I would have to change the processor. Correct? Thanks for the answers!
