I have this board with an i3 8350k running and the Corsair Vengeance LPX (2x, 8GB, DDR4-3000, DIMM 288) as RAM, but I have the problem that when I select the RAM profile in the bios (specified by the bios as Profile1), so that the RAM really runs at 3000 (i.e. 1499MHz), the box constantly shuts down shortly after starting Windows. Now my question: is the RAM defective or the mobo? With MemTest I can't find any errors even after a whole night as long as the RAM only runs at 2132 (aksi 1066MHz).

I can confirm this... mobo with an i5-9600 and the same RAM as you (2x8GB) in use, i could not reach higher CPU rates with the gigabyte auto-OC tool without first lowering the RAM clock from 3000 to 2133... or rather, this was defined in the BIOS for the auto-OC. as soon as I manually increased the RAM clock to 3000+ with a higher CPU clock --> BOOM! but then I was too lazy to play around with the intel XTU OC tool... and since the new PC box was assembled for someone else anyway, I didn't really care! ^^; according to unanimous WWW community knowledge, the higher CPU clock is more relevant than the RAM clock anyway...
