I have problems getting the RAM to run on a: MSI B550 GAMING GEN3 in XMP 1 profile (3600MHz). Windows 11 no longer starts or keeps getting bluescreens. I've updated the bios to the latest version and inserted the bars in slots A2 and B2 as recommended by MSI. To rule out that the modules could be defective, I ordered a 2nd kit for testing. The result is the same. With the Corsair LPX 2x8 GB 3600MHz it works without any problems. Processor would be a 5600X if that is still needed. Does anyone have any idea what is going wrong?
Just a shot in the dark, but very classic:
Possibly save all BIOS settings as a profile beforehand, reset the BIOS, if necessary remove the battery for a few minutes. Put the battery back in, don't forget to switch on XMP and load any other desired settings or the previously saved BIOS profile, XMP too - RAM to 3600.
Save everything and restart the PC. The system should now adjust to the new RAM and be ready to run.
I have a PC with exactly this RAM on an Asus Strix Z590-A Gaming WiFi (+ i5-11600K), where everything ran immediately on XMP 1.
It may also help to update the Ryzen chipset before replacing the RAM if it is not up to date.
