I guess you ran the benchmark test of the Samsung Magician software. I was able to observe the same thing with it. Try CrystalDiskMark, you will come very close to 3500 MB/s there.

that's right it's really like that with the latest CrystalDiskMark. I get about 3200mb when reading.... Strange :-)
but why the difference with Samsung's own tool?
