TCL Movetime Family Watch MT42X
TCL Movetime Family Watch MT42X
I have had the MT40 for my daughter for two years. Now I have bought the MT42 for my son. The MT40 had prepaid M-Budget (Swisscom network) and now subscription from TalkTalk (Sunrise network). The MT42 is prepaid from Yallo (Sunrise network). Question: It was possible to call from the MT40 to the MT42 from both networks, but it was and is not possible to call from the MT42 to the MT40. I had also changed the SIM cards and it was never possible to call from the MT42 to the MT40 - the combox always came instead of ringing first. All other numbers can be called from the MT42 without any problems. It is also possible to call the SIM card of the MT42 to the SIM card of the MT40 (without the Combox coming directly) if you insert it into a mobile phone instead of the watch. Can anyone help me? It looks like the new watch has a feature that prevents it from communicating directly with another TCL watch. But that would be a complete bummer and would also make the MT42 unusable in my eyes. I hope someone has an idea to solve this problem. Thanks in advance! :-)
TCL has confirmed that the MT40 is not compatible with MT42. The reason is quite clear. Business. I will simply boycott the brand.
But they are compatible! The only requirement is that both users... have the same number in their tcl account.
Hello.
I had the same problem. My daughter could not reach her colleague. The solution was to save each other's contacts within the parent-controlled app. Otherwise the mailbox comes up because the calling number is not on the whitelist, this is to protect the child. Unsaved numbers cannot reach your child. Hope it helps.
Unfortunately I noticed that the friends cannot be added by shaking, I guess this is not backwards compatible from the new to the old watch version.
Unfortunately, we are not aware of the problem. I could not find a solution on the manufacturer's website. I would recommend that you contact the manufacturer directly:
