I have a thick copper line of about 350m. I have a fibre optic connection at the other end. What speeds can I expect? The description says 2400Mbit up to 500m. From what I have read, no one reaches even 1000Mbit. Is there any way to get at least 1000Mbit? What is everyone doing wrong when 2400Mbit is promised? Are the cables too thin or is there too much current running through them? and how much does the ping increase?

Digitec once conducted a major measurement campaign on the various dLANs: https://www.digitec.ch/de...

I had used the Devolo because the WLAN was too unstable with concrete walls and laying LAN cables was not possible without enormous detours.

I think I achieved a throughput of max. 150Mbit/s at an estimated 40m in the flat. That was enough for surfing without interruption. Backing up data to the NAS took forever.

The problem with dLAN is that other devices, such as power adapters, etc., cause interference signals, which reduces the throughput.

If >1000Mbit/s really have to be achieved, there is no way around LAN cables in my opinion.

the 2400Mbit are probably only possible in the laboratory. In my opinion, such devices are useful when there is no other way to connect a room reasonably. For everything else: Ethernet. Or WLAN repeaters, etc., if electrosmog is not an issue ;-)
