I have a SUUNTO 9 (not Baro), the problem is that I can't find the precise altimetry (variations of 20-30 meters or more). I would like to change to a SUUNTO 9 BARO, but I also do a lot of swimming and surfing in the summer. Is the SUUNTO 9 BARO as thick as the SUUNTO 9 simple (if it is too thick, it will interfere with swimming)? Can the pressure cell of the SUUNTO 9 BARO withstand the strong pressure variations in the waves?

Answer

The altimeter at sea is worthless, I was often in negative altitudes. Probably because the water pressure deregulates the barometer. Well, you don't usually go up too much when you swim 😁
I swim long distances with the baro 9 and it doesn't bother me. After 12km still 65% battery 🙂
